What is Ferret?

Ferret is an AI application that empowers companies and individuals with real-time, unbiased relationship intelligence to help identify risks and embrace opportunities. 

Leveraging diverse global data sources, community learning, and contact monitoring, Ferret provides curated information to help with due diligence on businesses and individuals, making transparency the new norm.

How does Ferret work?

Ferret is a search engine that goes deeper than typical websites. It accesses global news archives, criminal, corporate, and legal records, plus other unique data to deliver relationship intelligence.

What is "relationship intelligence?"

Relationship intelligence is data-driven insights about people, businesses, and their networks. It provides a deeper understanding that may impact relationship decisions. Ferret achieves this by analyzing and curating data about contacts and businesses who matter most to you. We leverage data, artificial intelligence, and community learning to provide new insights to our customers. These insights are supported by global negative and positive news, corporate information, identity verifications, criminal records, court records, judgements, and social connection data.

Is Ferret a background check company?

No. We do not perform background checks. Ferret is not a credit or consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (“FCRA”) (15 U.S.C 1681, et seq.) or related state laws. Ferret is provided as a platform for informational use only.

Where can I download Ferret?

Ferret is currently available on the Google Play store for Android users. It can also be accessed on TestFlight through an exclusive invitation on Apple iOS. Click Join the Beta to request access.

Is Ferret a subscription service?

Yes. Ferret is available for a monthly or annual subscription fee. Click Pricing to see our subscription options.

Is a trial version available?

Ferret has a free trial version currently available on the Google store for Android users. It can also be accessed on TestFlight through an exclusive invitation on Apple iOS. Click https://check-ferret.webflow.io/ to request access.

How is the data being collected being used by Ferret?

Please refer to our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use for how we protect the data and privacy of our customers.

Can I use the app without uploading my contacts?

Yes. If you choose not to upload your contacts, you may use the search feature and perform ad-hoc searches.  This may limit your ability to perform continuous monitoring to only saved searches.

Can I search for a person or a business?

Yes. Using the Search icon, you can search for an individual person or a company.

How do I get the best search results from Ferret?

Search results in Ferret improve the more input fields you fill out. These include name, approximate age, phone number, city, state, and country. We also encourage users to engage with our community learning feature, which allows you to interact with the search results and validate the returned data fields . This improves the Ferret application for all users.

Can I  search myself?

Yes.  Follow the same process as you would when searching for any other name.

Do my contacts know Ferret is searching them?

No. All searches and monitored contacts are confidential. See our Privacy Policy for more information.

Does Ferret have continuous monitoring?

Yes. Ferret allows you to continuously monitor both uploaded contacts and ad-hoc search subjects. You will receive notifications (with your permission) when there is an update to any of the contacts or businesses you have selected.

Can I use the Ferret app internationally?

Ferret is currently available in the U.S. Check www.ferret.ai for updates as we add international locations.

How do I get technical support

How do I refer someone to Ferret?

On the main dashboard in the Ferret application, find the “Share Ferret” box and click. Choose your sharing method (text, email, etc.) and the contacts you invite will be sent a link to the ferret website.

How do I learn when new features show up in Ferret?

New features will be announced via email notifications, release notes, and within the application itself.
